PEIMS Fall Resubmission Deadline Extended to February 6, 2025

Because data accuracy is of the utmost importance, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has extended the PEIMS Fall Resubmission deadline from Thursday, January 30, 2025, to Thursday, February 6, 2025. It is imperative that school systems continue to work with their source system vendors and TEA to resolve any issues or concerns with completing the PEIMS Fall Resubmission. For additional important information about the extension, please refer to the January 28, 2025 TAA Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Extension.

For a side-by-side comparison of PEIMS data sources, codes, and recommended PEIMS reports for LEA verification of selected CCMR accountability indicators, please refer to the 2024-25 Academic Accountability Data Sources / PEIMS Fall Submission. Additional assistance is available from your supporting Education Service Center (ESC) or TEA by accessing the TSDS Incident Management System (TIMS).

2025 and 2026 Accountability Updates for Superintendents Shared January 23, 2025 

The following Accountability System Updates were shared during Commissioner Morath's monthly Superintendents call January 23, 2025, and can be found on the Superintendent Support: Accountability webpage.

2024 Federal Report Card Availability and Dissemination Requirement

The 2023-24 State, Local Educational Agency (LEA), and campus Federal Report Cards for Texas Public Schools are available. Local Education Agencies (LEAs) receiving Title I, Part A funding must post these report cards on their websites and notify parents by March 3, 2025. The report cards provide state, district, and campus-level data, ensuring transparency and accessibility for all stakeholders.  Contact Performance Reporting at performance.reporting@tea.texas.gov to request a translated version of this report, or utilize the Google Translate function available via Google Chrome. Further information is available on the Federal Report Card website and included in TAA: 2024 Federal Report Card Availability and Dissemination Requirement, published on January 16, 2025

Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) Data Download Coming Soon

When published the TAPR Data Download link will be available on the 2024–25 Texas Academic Performance Reports webpage. The TAPR Data Download is for users that wish to download data for all campuses, districts, or education service centers (ESC) in the state. Once downloaded, users will be able to manipulate the data using a spreadsheet or software program in .csv format.

2025 Accountability Rating System Framework Published on January 17, 2025

The 2025 Academic Accountability System Framework document was published to the 2025 Accountability System webpage. This resource offers a clear and comprehensive overview of the school rating system in Texas, designed to assist stakeholders in understanding the system.

Spring 2025 STAAR Administration

• Deadline to Indicate a Special Paper Administration

As a reminder, the deadline for district testing personnel to indicate student eligibility for a special paper administration of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) is January 31, 2025. District personnel must ensure students are appropriately registered by this date to receive sufficient paper materials in the initial order shipment. Initial order shipments will arrive in districts between March 24 and March 28. Districts may place additional orders for special paper administrations beginning on March 31 for students whose eligibility for paper testing is updated after January 31.

• Out-of-School and Out-of-District Test Site Registration

The window for districts to register each participating out-of-school (OOS) and out-of-district (OOD) test site for the spring 2025 STAAR administration is now open. Districts must register test sites by February 7 using the STAAR Out-of-School and Out-of-District Test Site Registration Form. Refer to the STAAR Out-of-School and Out-of-District Administrations page of the District and Campus Coordinator Resources for more information.

2025 TELPAS Administration

• Creating Test Sessions

District testing personnel can now create test sessions for the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) in the Test Administrator Interface of the Test Delivery System (TDS). For more information on how to create test sessions, refer to the “How to Create Test Sessions” training video on the Prepare for Online Administrations page of the Coordinator Resources.

• TELPAS Raters

The TELPAS Holistic Rating Training Coordinator Resources will be posted to the Secure File Center for district testing coordinators on January 30. This document includes information about online training for TELPAS holistic ratings as well as passcodes for monitored calibration sessions. The information in this document should be shared only with other designated testing personnel acting as district coordinator assistants or campus testing coordinators. Raters should be provided the appropriate passcodes only during monitored calibration sessions. Calibration sets for raters will be available in the Learning Management System (LMS) starting on February 3.
