2024-2025 ESSA Program Monitoring Validations
As part of TEA's federal monitoring responsibilities, the Federal Program Compliance Division is conducting a consolidated program monitoring validation of documentation for the following programs:
- Title I, Part A—Improving Basic Programs;
- Title I, Part C—Education of Migratory Children (MEP);
- Title I, Part D, Subpart 2—Prevention and Intervention Programs for Children and Youth Who Are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk;
- Title II, Part A—Supporting Effective Instruction;
- Title IV, Part A—Student Support and Academic Enrichment; and
- Private School Equitable Services (PNP)
The Federal Program Compliance Division notified all LEAs selected for participation in the process via email on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. LEA notification emails were sent to the LEA contacts listed in the Department of Grant Compliance and Administration Smartsheet WorkApp System. A listing of LEAs selected will also be posted on the ESSA Program Monitoring Validations webpage. Education Service Center (ESC) program contacts will be reaching out to the LEAs selected to provide complimentary technical assistance prior to documentation submission, which is due on December 13, 2024.

All resources available for the 2024-2025 ESSA Program Monitoring Validations process have been posted on the ESSA Program Monitoring Validations webpage. The resources include a Handbook that provides general information about the process and links for accessing the program-specific requirements guidance documents, training videos, and training slides.
