Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1, LEA Special Data Collection for Public Reporting – Statewide Training Sessions
As per the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1, sections 4104(a)(2) and 4106(e)(1)(E), TEA is required to collect and publicly report how all LEA Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1, funds are being expended per content area by Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) and the degree to which progress has been made toward meeting program objectives and intended outcomes. LEAs must submit data through the TEA Federal Program Compliance (FPC) Smartsheet WorkApp. The Title IV, Part A, LEA Special Data Collection will open for data submission on October 1, 2024, and close December 1, 2024.
Participants must register in advance to attend virtual sessions. Both training dates will provide the same information and be recorded for later access.

Training Description: TEA Program Staff will share federal requirements for the Title IV, Part A, (TIVA) LEA Special Data Collection (SDC) for Public Reporting and the Federal Program Compliance (FPC) TIVA WorkApp Smartsheet submission process. Data submission is required for all LEAs receiving a TIVA subgrant.
Training sessions will cover the five (5) TIVA SDC submission requirements below that are all due December 1, 2024, via the TIVA Smartsheet WorkApp:
- (2022-2023) Objectives and Measurable Outcomes (OMOs) Final Progress
- (2022-2023) Carryover Expenditures
- (2023-2024) OMOs Initial Progress (submitted October 2023 - December 2023)
- (2023-2024) Title IV, Part A, LEA Expenditures by Service and/or Content Area(s)
- (2024-2025) Title IV, Part A, LEA Program Initial OMOs
Question and Answer (Q&A) Session Description: The Q&A sessions will be an open forum for participants to submit questions limited to the TIVA LEA Special Data Collection Smartsheet WorkApp, Instructional Handbook, initial/final data reporting phase, submission requirements, and resources. The Q&A sessions will not be recorded.
Training materials will be posted on TEA’s Title IV, Part A, webpage by October 3, 2024.
