Texas Performance Reporting System (TPRS) Updated September 19, 2024 with 2023-2024 Data

TPRS integrates state and federal reporting requirements into a single reporting system that can be viewed at the campus, district, region, and state level. As the most comprehensive reporting system published by TEA, TPRS provides additional performance reports, results, and indicators for student groups not reported on state accountability data tables, the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), or the School Report Card.

Reports incorporating STAAR, CCMR, and Graduation data were updated with 2023-2024 data onSeptember 19th. Based on feedback to CCMR Outcomes Bonus (CCMR OB) reporting, this release also includes a brand-new report for CCMR OB, updated as of the Class of 2022 (the most recent cohort). Additional information about the CCMR OB Reports Updates was also released on September 19th and can be found in the TAA: CCMR Outcomes Bonus Reports Updates

Additional rounds of TPRS releases are planned for Advanced Math Pathways in October followed by Postsecondary Outcomes in November, as well as TAPR and School Report Cards in December.

This release does not include the Campus or District 2024 Accountability Reports. The issuance of the A–F ratings under 2024 rule is pending and subject to change

PEIMS FAQ - What is the deadline for entering drop-out data in PEIMS?

According to PEIMS Leaver Data - Documentation Requirements for the PEIMS Leaver Data 2024-25 School Year , TEA uses the PEIMS Fall Submission to assist in determining whether students were officially identified as movers or leavers. During the PEIMS Fall Submission, leaver records must be submitted for students who do not enroll in other Texas public schools by the TEA school-start window, which is September 27, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year. Districts must document the withdrawal of students and maintain on file the appropriate paperwork associated with student withdrawals. Documentation is required for all leaver reasons. Detailed information about the documentation requirements for leaver reasons is provided in the link above. Documentation supporting use of a leaver reason(s) must exist in the district at the time the leaver data are submitted, i.e. no later than the PEIMS Submission 1 (Fall Submission) Resubmission date which is January 16, 2025 for the 2024-25 school year.

Additionally, please note that beginning in the 2025-26 school year, current-year leaver and graduation data will be reported in the PEIMS Summer and Extended Year Submissions. Please refer to the September 5, 2024 TAA: Early Notice – Moving Leaver and Graduate Reporting from the PEIMS Fall to the PEIMS Summer and Extended Year Submissions for more information and timelines to help prepare for this change.

December 2024 STAAR Administration

  • Update Student Eligibility

Districts should ensure that all students eligible for the December 2024 administration of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) end-of-course (EOC) assessments have been added to the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) by October 4, 2024. Students participating in this administration must have the December EOC Eligibility field set to “Yes” in TIDE. Student eligibility must be added by the deadline indicated on the Calendar of Events so that the correct number of test administrator manuals are shipped to districts. For retesters, Cambium Assessment, Inc. (CAI) will set the retester flag and the December end-of-course eligibility value by October 4.

  • Paper Materials

For students who are eligible for a special paper administration of STAAR, the Special Ed Indicator Code or Section 504 Indicator Code must be set to “Yes” in TIDE. District personnel must also set the student’s Test Mode to “Paper” and make the appropriate Paper Test Format selection. These settings must be indicated by October 4 to receive paper materials with initial order shipments. Refer to the Special Administration of an Assessment page in the District and Campus Coordinator Resources for eligibility criteria and other information.

For students whose parent, guardian, or teacher requested a paper version of STAAR by the September 15 deadline, the Paper By Request field must be set to “Yes” in TIDE. District personnel must also set the student’s Test Mode to “Paper” and select “Regular Print” for the format since this is the only format available for this type of administration. This information must be indicated in TIDE by October 4. The number of students who receive a paper by request administration of STAAR is limited to no more than three percent of the number of eligible students enrolled in the district who are administered each assessment. Refer to the Paper by Request Administration page in the Coordinator Resources for additional information.

Beginning September 24, quantities of initial order materials will be available in TIDE for verification by districts. These quantities are calculated based on the number of students flagged appropriately and are updated nightly. Districts must confirm sufficient quantities for initial order shipments by October 4. If additional paper materials are needed after this deadline, district personnel may order the necessary materials during the additional order window.

  • Out-of-School and Out-of-District Test Site Registration

The window for districts to register each participating out-of-school (OOS) and out-of-district (OOD) test site for the December STAAR administration opens on September 23. Districts must register test sites by October 4 using the STAAR Out-of-School and Out-of-District Test Site Registration Form. Refer to the STAAR Out-of-School and Out-of-District Administrations page of the Other Testing Scenarios section of the Coordinator Resources for more information.

Secure Browser Updates

As a reminder, district personnel must update desktop Secure Browsers to version 17 for the 2024–2025 school year. The updated Secure Browser 17.0 for supported versions of macOS, Windows, and Linux is available to download from the Secure Browsers page of the Texas Assessment website. The previous version of the secure browser will no longer be available after October 11, 2024. District personnel must also confirm their devices meet the Minimum System Requirements for the 2024–2025 school year, which are available in the Technology Resources section of the Coordinator Resources.

Updated District and Campus Coordinator Resources

The 2024–2025 District and Campus Coordinator Resources have been updated to include additional sections since this resource was posted in August. Refer to the Updates to Coordinator Resources page for a list of updates.
