Texas Performance Reporting System (TPRS) Updated September 19, 2024
TPRS integrates state and federal reporting requirements into a single reporting system that can be viewed at the campus, district, region, and state level. As the most comprehensive reporting system published by TEA, TPRS provides additional performance reports, results, and indicators for student groups not reported on state accountability data tables, the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), or the School Report Card.
Reports incorporating STAAR, CCMR, and Graduation data were updated September 19th. Based on feedback to CCMR Outcomes Bonus (CCMR OB) reporting, this release also includes a brand-new report for CCMR OB, updated as of the Class of 2022 (the most recent cohort). Additional information about the CCMR OB Reports Updates was also released on September 19th and can be found in the TAA: CCMR Outcomes Bonus Reports Updates
Additional rounds of TPRS releases are planned for Advanced Math Pathways in October followed by Postsecondary Outcomes in November, as well as TAPR and School Report Cards in December.
This release does not include the Campus or District 2024 Accountability Reports. The issuance of the A–F ratings under 2024 rule is pending and subject to change.

Changes to TSDS PEIMS Reporting of Leavers and Graduates for 2025-26
To increase awareness of TSDS PEIMS Submission timelines and their importance as part of the state accountability process, please note the following changes announced in the TAA: Early Notice – Moving Leaver and Graduate Reporting from the PEIMS Fall to the PEIMS Summer and Extended Year Submissions, on Thursday September 5, 2024.
As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of student data reporting, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced significant changes to the process for reporting leavers and graduates in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) for the 2025-2026 school year. The leaver and graduate collection change will allow TEA to better comply with the federal reporting deadlines for certain EDFacts and Perkins submissions.
In addition to the impact on federal reporting, leaver and graduation collections are used for various accountability calculations, including CCMR and Graduation rates. For more information on the specific TSDS PEIMS data elements used throughout the accountability system, please see 2024 Accountability Manual - Appendix H.

Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Upgrade Project
The Texas Student Data System (TSDS) is a statewide system that modernizes and improves the quality of data collection, management, and reporting in Texas education. The update includes significant changes to TSDS for the 2024-2025 school year. On September 30, 2021, TEA announced the plan to upgrade the TSDS to improve system performance and better align with the national Ed-Fi data standard. On August 5, 2024, TSDS officially transitioned from manual Extensible Markup Language (XML) data loading to Application Programming Interface (API) transactions loaded directly from source system vendors.
As a reminder, a TAA: Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Upgrade Project was sent on July 18, 2024 with important information and links for districts about the changes for the 2024-2025 school year which districts may wish to review in preparation for the PEIMS Fall Snapshot on October 25, 2024 and the PEIMS Fall First Submission on December 12, 2024.
As part of the TSDS Texas Web-Enabled Data Standards (TWEDS) transition, the names of data elements and locations of descriptor tables have been updated. Of particular note, SERVICE-ID has been renamed CourseCodes. PDF and Excel versions of the CourseCodes Table (C022) are located here. Alternatively, these documents may be located by navigating to the new TWEDS website, clicking on the ‘References’ tab, and selecting ‘Course Codes Link’ from the menu. The PEIMS Department anticipates including a table, similar to the previous C022 Table, in the near future. Use of these prescribed numbers, titles, and abbreviations is required for participation in the Texas Records Exchange (TREx) system.
