Upcoming: 2024 Texas Performance Reporting System (TPRS) Update September 19, 2024
TPRS integrates state and federal reporting requirements into a single reporting system that can be viewed at the campus, district, region, and state level. As the most comprehensive reporting system published by TEA, TPRS provides additional performance reports, results, and indicators for student groups not reported on state accountability data tables, the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), or the School Report Card.
Reports to be released on September 19th will incorporate available, STAAR, CCMR, and Graduation data. Based on feedback to CCMR Outcomes Bonus (CCMR OB) reporting, this release also includes a brand-new report for CCMR OB, updated as of the Class of 2022 (the most recent cohort).
Additional rounds of TPRS releases are planned for Advanced Math Pathways in October followed by Postsecondary Outcomes in November, as well as TAPR and School Report Cards in December.
This release does not include the Campus or District 2024 Accountability Reports. The issuance of the A–F ratings under 2024 rule is pending and subject to change.
Changes to TSDS PEIMS Reporting of Leavers and Graduates for 2025-26
To increase awareness of TSDS PEIMS Submission timelines and their importance as part of the state accountability process, please note the following changes announced in the TAA: Early Notice – Moving Leaver and Graduate Reporting from the PEIMS Fall to the PEIMS Summer and Extended Year Submissions, on Thursday September 5, 2024.
As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of student data reporting, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced significant changes to the process for reporting leavers and graduates in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) for the 2025-2026 school year. The leaver and graduate collection change will allow TEA to better comply with the federal reporting deadlines for certain EDFacts and Perkins submissions.
In addition to the impact on federal reporting, leaver and graduation collections are used for various accountability calculations, including CCMR and Graduation rates. For more information on the specific TSDS PEIMS data elements used throughout the accountability system, please see 2024 Accountability Manual - Appendix H.

2024 Federal School Improvement Designations Released
TEA is proceeding with federal identification, interventions and grant-funding processes, per an agreement reached in the recently filed accountability litigation.
Under federal accountability laws, campuses that meet certain criteria must be identified for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) or Additional Targeted Support (ATS). The methodology for these identifications is detailed in the state’s ESSA consolidated plan and summarized in the 2024 Accountability Manual. The School Improvement (SI) federal identification lists are publicly available on the 2024 Accountability System webpage in compliance with federal mandates. Campuses’ underlying accountability reports in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application have also been updated to include the Identification for Schools for Improvement report.
The TAA: Information for School Systems with Campuses Identified for School Improvement Interventions under Federal Accountability, includes additional information on Federal Intervention participation Requirements, related Grant opportunities, and Additional Resources. Additional information regarding accountability, intervention requirements and resources are located on the Division of School Improvement webpage.
Class of 2023 College, Career, Military Readiness Outcomes Bonus (CCMR OB) Early Counts File Now Available
TEA has published an Early CCMR OB Counts by District 2023 Graduates file on the Performance Reporting Resources webpage and the CCMR OB Early Counts Student Listing within the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. Early counts for the Class of 2023 will be incorporated into the Legislative Payment Estimates (LPE) column of the 2024–2025 Summary of Finances (SOF) reports and paid throughout the year according to the district’s payment schedule. The SOF reports will display the count of annual graduates in excess of the threshold percentages of 2023 annual graduates who demonstrated college, career, or military readiness.
Once data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is received and processed, a Final CCMR OB Counts by District 2023 Graduates file will be published within a few months and will be incorporated into the District Planning Estimates (DPE) column of the SOF reports to settle up fiscal year 2024–2025 CCMR OB funding. Settle up for fiscal year 2024-2025 will occur in September 2025 when the DPE column becomes the basis for payments.
