Strong Foundations Planning

Greetings from TEA!

Hello Strong Foundations Planning grant LEAs,

Welcome to a new school year! We hope you had some time this summer to rest, relax, and recharge. As you begin your Strong Foundations Planning journey, you will be collaborating with your Approved Provider (AP) to create your Roadmap Planning Tool and form your Leadership Team and Committee. Your AP is there to coach you through every step of the grant, ensuring the creation and implementation of the most impactful deliverables.

We cannot wait to meet each and every one of you! Please sign up for a Meet & Greet that works with your schedule. This will be an opportunity for you to connect with other districts participating in Strong Foundations Planning. Collaboration is really where the magic happens. Another collaboration point is at the August Community of Practice. Be sure to sign up for the date that works for you (links below).

Here’s to a smooth opening of SY 24-25 and a year of learning, growing, and positive outcomes for every single student in every single classroom.

Roadmap Planning Tool: Milestone date is 8/16. If you need an extension, please talk to your AP about submitting an extension.

Reminders & Next Steps

Join us for a Meet and Greet with TEA and other district leaders participating in the Strong Foundations Planning program. Get any questions you have answered and connect and collaborate to help us build a dynamic networking environment during the grant cycle. We have MANY options over the course of late August and early September and hope you will sign up for a slot: SFP LEA Meet & Greets
- Note: Please only sign up one leader from your district. You can forward the invite to other leaders in your district if you would like them to join.

Community of Practice – CoPs are an essential time for district leaders engaged in the Strong Foundations Planning grant to come together to share best practices and challenges, build a network of support, and hear from successful districts who have engaged in this grant in the past. A reminder that attendance for at least one district leader is required at monthly Community of Practice meetings starting in August.
- There are two options for attendance:
  - Thursday, August 22 at 11:00am (for districts with 800 or less students) - Meeting Registration - Zoom
  - Friday, August 23 at 9:00am (for districts with over 800 students) - Meeting Registration - Zoom
  - Make-up any missed CoPs by following the instructions on the CoP Make-up Form.
