Class of 2022 CCMR OB Listings and Reports Available

The final Class of 2022 Annual Graduates CCMR OB Student Listings are now available in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. The final Class of 2022 CCMR OB Counts by District, Class of 2022 CCMR OB State Report, and explanatory resources are also now available on the Performance Reporting Resources webpage.

The final student listings and reports are an update to the previously released Early CCMR OB Counts by District 2022 Graduates file, announced in this TAA. Early counts were based on actual data for the graduating class; the last set of data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has been processed and these reports are now final.

Important TSDS PEIMS Resubmission Deadline – July 18, 2024

On Thursday, June 20, 2024, the agency released a TAA announcing the PEIMS Summer deadline for CCMR in 2025 Accountability. LEAs have until July 18, 2024, to verify and submit corrected data for errors found in the initial June 20, 2024, submission. Please note that any corrections not submitted by the resubmission deadline are excluded from important accountability products.  It is extremely important that all LEAs verify their data directly in TSDS PEIMS even if the data appears to be accurate in their SIS.

As a reminder, the Summer Submission includes data that are used for several of the CCMR indicators, such as Dual Credit, IBCs, and College Prep Courses. Because CCMR uses lagging data, the data submitted this summer (2024) will impact the calculations for the 2025 accountability reports. The Academic Accountability Data Sources (texas.gov) provides a list of the PEIMS elements and values for each indicator along with the PEIMS reports LEAs can use to verify the information prior to submission and during the correction window.

For example, the TSDS PEIMS PDM report “Student: Student Advanced Academic Roster by Grade” (PDM3-120-010) provides information about student IBC status. It is extremely important that all LEAs verify their data directly in TSDS PEIMS even if the data appears to be accurate in their SIS. LEAs have until July 18, 2024, to submit corrected data for errors found in the initial June 20, 2024, submission through the PEIMS Summer Resubmission process.

Please note: After the correction window closes, the accepted PEIMS submission are the data used for the CCMR indicators for 2025 accountability. The CCMR data collected during the PEIMS Summer Submission and Resubmission cannot be corrected through the CCMR Verifier process in the following spring or summer. For more information, please contact a PEIMS specialist at your ESC or the TEA Performance Reporting Division at performance.reporting@tea.texas.gov or 512-463-9704.

PEIMS and Accountability FAQ

What happens if a data error is found after the initial submission of Summer PEIMS?

If a data error is found during the submission process, including after the initial submission, the LEA must make corrections within their SIS and resubmit the information to TEA by the resubmission deadline which is July 18, 2024, for this year. The LEA should work with their SIS if the LEA determines the error is based on an issue with the system and not with the data the LEA has entered.

If the LEA cannot determine the cause of the error, the LEA should work with their ESC PEIMS Coordinator, and if needed submit a TIMS Ticket for customer support assistance. The LEA should begin promoting their PEIMS data as early as they can to determine and correct any errors. The LEA, not the SIS, is ultimately responsible for the accuracy of data submitted by the resubmission deadline.

NEW: Guide to PEIMS Summer Submissions for Accountability

The Guide to PEIMS Summer Submissions for Accountability (texas.gov) is a summary of key information about the PEIMS submission process that provides LEA leaders with actionable steps to improve the accuracy of PEIMS, submissions especially as related to the TSDS PEIMS Summer Submission and the impact of that submission on the state accountability process.

The guide includes information such as an overview of PEIMS data categories by submission, a list of PEIMS reports that are key for districts to use during the Summer Submission data correction window, and a sample LEA Submission Planning calendar.

For the upcoming July 18, 2024, deadline for the TSDS PEIMS 2024 Summer Resubmission, the guide includes a sample timeline districts can adapt to help ensure all data has been verified:

  • July 8 – 9: LEA PEIMS Coordinator does follow-up with each campus as needed to ensure verification process is progressing. The LEA PEIMS Coordinator should continue to load and promote the PEIMS Summer Resubmission data, resolve all Fatal edits and review all Special Warnings, and Warnings, and run reports for the campus to review.
  • July 11: LEA deadline for each campus to complete data verification process for final submission. The LEA PEIMS Coordinator should continue to load and promote the PEIMS Summer Resubmission data, resolve all Fatal edits and review all Special Warnings, and Warnings, and run report for the campus to review.
  • July 15: LEA deadline to resolve all identified data discrepancies and notify the LEA PEIMS coordinator that all issues are resolved. The LEA PEIMS Coordinator should load and promote the final PEIMS Summer Resubmission data, resolve all Fatal edits and review all Special Warnings, and Warnings, and run the reports for LEA leadership.
  • July 16 – 17: Final review of final (corrected) Summer Resubmission data through the TEA PEIMS reports by LEA leadership.
  • July 18: Deadline for final Summer Resubmission

The guide also includes examples of the PEIMS reports districts can use to verify the data for the PEIMS resubmission. The Academic Accountability Data Sources (texas.gov) document includes a list of recommended PEIMS reports for CCMR indicators calculated with PEIMS data. The guide also includes a sample of each of the reports for summer submission for district reference.

As a reminder, the TSDS PEIMS Summer Submission and Resubmission process includes important CCMR data that will be used for 2025 Accountability purposes. The resubmission process is the only opportunity districts will have to correct this data before it is used for 2025 Accountability – these indicators cannot be corrected through the tracker/verifier process next spring and summer.

It is also critical that districts verify their data using PEIMS reports. If the data is not in TSDS PEIMS, it will not be included in the accountability calculation process regardless of what data is in the SIS. Please see the guide for additional information. For this year, these corrections must be made by the July 18, 2024 deadline.

Secure Browser Updates For 2024–2025

As a reminder, the updated Secure Browser 17.0 for supported versions of macOS, Windows, and Linux is now available to download from the Secure Browsers page of the Texas Assessment website. District personnel must update desktop Secure Browsers to version 17.0 for the 2024–2025 school year. Districts may continue to use version 9 of the iPad Secure Browser, as a new version is not required for the 2024–2025 school year. Further information regarding the new Chrome OS Secure Browser is expected later this summer. The minimum system requirements for the 2024–2025 school year are available in the Technology Resources section of the District and Campus Coordinator Resources.

Annual System Rollover

As a reminder, systems for the Texas Assessment Program will be offline from 7:00 p.m. (CT) August 16 through 1:00 a.m. (CT) August 26, 2024, to complete a system rollover. This includes the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), the Centralized Reporting System (CRS), the Test Delivery System (TDS), and the Secure File Center. District testing personnel should download any data files or certifications needed before August 16.

All student data, including rosters, will be cleared from TIDE, and students must be added to TIDE for the 2024–2025 school year. Practice tests will continue to be accessible in guest mode, and the Learning Management System (LMS) will be available for registered users through the Testing Personnel page of the Texas Assessment website. Any Texas Formative Assessment Resource (TFAR) tests administered in 2023–2024 that require scoring by hand must be submitted prior to August 16 for scores to be reflected in CRS. If hand-scored items are not submitted prior to August 16, they will no longer be available for scoring after the system rollover.

With the annual system rollover, superintendent and district testing coordinator roles in TIDE will be updated to match those listed in AskTED. All users with an existing account must create a new password when logging in to TIDE for the first time each school year. Users with a new role must have their role updated to ensure that they have appropriate access to the system functionality needed for their assigned role. Refer to the TIDE User Guide for more information about logging in to the system for the first time and creating or editing user accounts.

LMS Update

LMS will be offline for system maintenance beginning from 8:30 p.m. (CT) Friday, July 12 through 10:00 a.m. (CT) Saturday, July 13, 2024. Trainings will not be accessible during this time.
