SHARS Policy Changes - Draft

Texas HHSC ensures that policies are medically appropriate, patient-centered, transparent and based on the best available evidence. The agency’s medical policies outline the types of procedures and treatments for which HHSC will pay for specific conditions. Adjustments to the current SHARS policy have been drafted.

Medical practitioners, program clients and the public can give HHSC feedback regarding the changes to the existing policy. After reviewing the proposed changes, you may email feedback to: MCDMedicalBenefitsPolicyComment@hhsc.state.tx.us

Public comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on July 8, 2024.
