Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting Smartsheet WorkApp now available

The Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting Division has created a WorkApp where Education Service Centers (ESCs) and Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) are able to view the status of required Post Award Compliance Unit related submissions.

ESC and LEA administrators with current, active Smartsheet access to other TEA WorkApps (EDGAR Connect, FPC Random Validation, ESSER Reporting, Risk Assessment, etc.) will be able to view the Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting WorkApp, and new users will need to be added through the EDGAR Connect WorkApp.

Steps to Gain Access to TEA WorkApps:

1. Have someone with access navigate to: https://workapps.smartsheet.com/app/PV3M9RP4vpVhGfqXm9Cwc9qGR3/9FvjWHCFG39Hh
2. Logon to Smartsheet, if prompted At the EDGAR Forms 2.0 screen, click on Smartsheet Email Access on the left navigation pane
3. In the middle screen, the Smartsheet Email Access screen will pull up, click on the LEA Name
4. The Details menu will display on the right side of the screen
5. Highlight and copy the New User Certification Link and fill out the rest of the form and click save
6. Open a new tab and paste the link and fill out the New User Certification Form
7. TEA will be alerted of the new email request and will process it within 3–5 business days

If there are any issues with gaining access, please send an email request to Frank Baca (Frank.Baca@tea.texas.gov), the Department of Grant Compliance and Administration's System Automation Team Lead. 

Once access is gained, locate the Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting WorkApp:

1. Access the TEA Smartsheet WorkApp
2. Select Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting WorkApp.
3. Select Post-Award Compliance view/s. The view will include the status of LEAs within the specified region.
4. When a review is underway, if you wish to leave a comment/pose a question, click on the comment’s column header, and type in the open field available. There will be a prompt to save the comment/question. Once saved, it will be visible to Post Award Compliance Unit staff.
5. Documents related to reviews will be uploaded to the Dynamic View and can be downloaded by clicking on the Attachments Tab.
6. Each LEA and ESC will also have access to a Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting Dashboard, which gives an overview of the progress of reviews and resources.
7. Please periodically reference the Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting WorkApp for status updates on Post Award Compliance Unit submissions and reviews.
