Texas System of Care-Free Virtual Workshop in Collaborative & Proactive Solutions
Texas System of Care, led by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health, will host a free, virtual workshop in Collaborative and Proactive Solutions. Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) is an evidence-based assessment and intervention that strives to identify underlying reasons that youth may not be meeting adult expectations, leading to problematic and disruptive behavior, and problem-solve collaboratively with students and adults to create practical, proactive solutions. CPS has been shown to reduce disruptive behaviors and the severity of these behaviors within school, home, and residential settings. The training will be led by the developer, Dr. Ross Greene, and the first 200 registrants who complete the training and evaluation will receive a copy of his book, Lost at School. The training is appropriate for school administrators, educators, school counselors, mental health professionals, and parent or caregivers. CEUs will be provided.
