Welcome to the May edition of our Strong Foundations Planning Newsletter. As we dive into the late spring, we want to thank you for your ongoing dedication and hard work contracting with an Approved Provider and developing an executed contract that will set you up for success in creating a Reasearch-Based Instructional Framework. We know that May is a busy time for school districts and want to ensure you feel supported by the Strong Foundations Planning TEA team.  

In this month’s newsletter, we will be sharing some updates and resources to support your work. Together, we are building stronger educational systems that nurture student success and foster a brighter future.

Past Due: Readiness Inventory – Submit your LEA’s HQIM Readiness Inventory, all LEAs must submit a response to this survey.  

Executed Contracts are due May 17th, 2024. If you need an extension on this deadline, please reach out to strongfoundations@tea.texas.gov.  

Once you have a contract with an Approved Provider upload the Executed Contract to your LEA’s Google Folder. A link was sent from the StrongFoundations@TEA.Texas.gov email; share your Google folder link with your Approved Provider. If you need our team to send you the Google folder link again, please do not hesitate to request that through the Strong Foundations email. 

LEA Contact Form – Fill out this form to receive important grant communications, resources, and upcoming trainings. 

(Optional) LEA Panel – May 14 @ 10:00 a.m. A don’t miss event! Listen to district leaders from past Strong Foundations Planning grant cycles talk about their journey through SFP and the impact it has had on their LEA. This is an informal session where participants will engage in conversation with the panelists. Click here to register.  

(Required) LEA Communities of Practice – Register today for district leader CoPs. This is your chance to connect with LEAs throughout Texas to collaborate, problem solve, and innovate together.  

Optional CoP in June - Thursday, June 20 at 11:00am (CoP Small est. Enrollment 800 or less) or Friday, June 21 at 9:00am (CoP Medium/Large est. Enrollment > 800)

(Optional) LEA Office Hours – Come chat with SFP and SFI team members to get your questions answered! Office hours are the first Monday of every month at 9:00am. Registration Link.
