Financial Aid 

On April 18, Commissioner Morath addressed superintendents with an update about FAFSA completion rates and ongoing challenges related to FAFSA processing. This update followed a TEA correspondence to superintendents about the financial aid graduation requirement.

As you continue to support students to ensure they can access the federal financial aid for which they are eligible, the Texas College Access Network (TxCAN) is providing a webinar for district administrators and counselor leaders. The webinar will include a briefing on what has occurred with the 2024-25 FAFSA rollout, what the implications of this new rollout are, and why it is important to continue to support counselors as they help students complete their FAFSA. Please share this opportunity with leaders who would benefit from this learning opportunity.
