Performance Reporting

To the Superintendent Addressed:

The purpose of this communication is to provide information regarding the release of the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Tracker. The CCMR Tracker is released in two stages through TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability.

Part I: March 29, 2024

  • CCMR indicators submitted via PEIMS through the 2022–23 school year
  • OnRamps and TSIA results through 2022–23 school year
  • SAT, ACT, AP, IB and level I/II certificate results through the 2021–22 school year

Part II: Summer 2024

SAT, ACT, AP, IB and level I/II certificates updated through 2022–23 school year

Background

The CCMR Tracker is a tracking tool within the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. The CCMR Tracker provides districts with a means to track CCMR indicator completion throughout high school for students reported as enrolled in grades 9–12 on the TSDS PEIMS October 2023 snapshot date.

The CCMR Tracker contains lagging data as detailed in the chart below.

While the CCMR Tracker contains students who were in grades 9–12 on the 2023–24 PEIMS snapshot, the 2024 Tracker does not contain results from school year 2023–24 as those data have yet to be reported to TEA.

Indicators are credited if earned within date ranges provided below for students beginning with grade 9 enrollment. TSI assessments are the only CCMR indicator that may be earned prior to grade 9. Indicators reported upon graduation (IEP and workforce readiness graduates and special education graduate with advanced diploma plan) do not appear in the CCMR Tracker.

The table below provides the years included in the CCMR Tracker for each indicator and release.

Data Sources and Timelines

The CCMR Accountability Data Sources document provides a list of the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) PEIMS and non-PEIMS source data used for accountability along with detailed information about the accepted values for each element and suggested TSDS PEIMS reports districts can pull to verify the information submitted for each student accurately reflects the student’s participation in applicable CCMR indicators. The timeline for 2023-24 TSDS PEIMS data submissions is found here: Because the TSDS PEIMS data submission timelines are strict and the data submitted during the corrections window are final, it is imperative that districts have a clear plan for data entry and verification during the submission and correction windows especially because the CCMR data as used for accountability is lagging and therefore is submitted in the school year prior to its use in accountability.

As stated in the accurate data is fundamental to accountability ratings. The system depends on the responsible collection and submission of assessment and TSDS PEIMS information by school districts. The Texas Education Data Standards (TEDS) describe the data reporting requirements, responsibilities, and specifications and are published annually and can be found here: TSDS>Texas Education Data Standards. Per 19 TAC §61.1025(b), these data standards shall be used by districts to submit data to the agency. Responsibility for the accuracy and quality of data used to determine district and campus ratings, therefore, rests with local authorities.

For additional assistance with TSDS PEIMS data entry and verification, districts are strongly encouraged to contact the PEIMS specialists at their regional ESC. The TEA PEIMS staff can also be contacted for assistance at TSDSCustomerSupport@tea.texas.gov.

Action

Corrections to the information presented in the CCMR Tracker cannot be submitted to TEA; this report is for informational purposes only. If districts find errors, they are encouraged to work with testing vendors to make corrections prior to the student’s graduation.

The CCMR Verifier will be available in the TEAL Accountability application in Summer 2024. The verifier does provide districts the chance to confirm CCMR indicators submitted to the agency by the Onramps Program, the College Board, International Baccalaureate (IB), ACT, and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for DD Form 4. The 2024 CCMR Verifier will only include the 2022–23 annual graduates and non-graduating 12th graders who will count for CCMR in the 2024 A–F Accountability system.

If you have questions about the CCMR Tracker, please contact the Performance Reporting Division at (512) 463-9704 or performance.reporting@tea.texas.gov.
