Updates related to Educator Preparation Program Management
New: Insight to Impact Dashboards Includes 2022-2023 Student Growth Data The 2022-2023 Student Growth Data is now available in the Insight to Impact Dashboards. As a reminder, you can review navigation instructions and protocols for acting on your EPPs data at the Insight to Impact Academy.
Please note: there is currently a known issue affecting the Average Student Growth by Candidate page. When Academic Year is selected, only 2019 data is displaying. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Reminder: Educator Preparation Framework Website Launch We are happy to announce the launch of the Effective Preparation Framework (EPF) website. Since Spring 2021, TEA staff has collaborated with the SBEC and stakeholders to develop the Effective Preparation Framework (EPF) 1.0. The EPF is a framework that aims to define the highest leverage practices effective Texas educator preparation programs strive to implement daily and distinguishes effective preparation practices that yield improved outcomes for school children, future educators, local school districts, and EPPs. For more detailed information about the EPF, please visit the EPF website.
We take this space to highlight questions that we have heard from .
Q: If I am a new Legal Authority or Back-Up Legal Authority, who do I need to contact to be added as new EPP staff?
A: EPPs often have staff changes in the fall, spring, and summer. If you are a new Legal Authority or Back-Up Legal Authority, you will first need to send an email to your Education Specialist assigned to request the template to change Legal Authority/Back-Up Legal Authority. Once that change request is received at TEA, staff will make the changes in the Business Partner Directory (BPD) and add you to the Contact List.
Q: I am the new Legal Authority for my EPP. What do I need to do to ensure that I have access to my EPP’s data?
A: If you are a new Legal Authority/Primary Point of Contact and the Legal Authority/Primary Point of Contact change request has been processed, a part of that process is for the Data Team to add you to the ShareFile. The Data Team receives weekly updates about Legal Authority change requests on Fridays and updates the ShareFile with the new Legal Authority at that time. If you are uncertain if you are listed on the ShareFile, please contact your Education Specialist assigned.
Your best source for information and support at the TEA.
As an Educator Preparation Program, your main point of contact is your Education Specialist.
