Year Four USDE ESSER Reporting Data Due Date
The online system for LEAs to complete this reporting requirement will close Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CST. Ensure that you complete all of the required reports, failure to complete the reports by the specified deadline could lead to:
- Referral to the Federal Compliance Officer for non-compliance with grant requirement (could lead to an increased risk designation), and/or;
- Suspension of federal funds.

How do I Access the USDE ESSER Reporting WorkApp?
To access the USDE ESSER Reporting Workapp, LEAs, ESCs, and other grantees must be listed as your organization’s contact and have completed the New User Certification Form. Individuals with current access to the EDGAR (Education Department General Administrative Regulations) Connect SmartSheet Workapp will automatically have access to the USDE ESSER Reporting Workapp.
Data Collection Timeline for Year Four Reporting
The time for Year Four ESSER Annual Performance Reporting is as follows (and is subject to change):

10/30/2023: TEA (Texas Education Agency) launches Year Four ESSER Annual Performance Reporting Tool in SmartSheet via USDE ESSER Reporting WorkApp.

10/31/2023 to 02/15/2024: TEA hosts office hours for LEAs and ESCs.

02/16/2024 at 11:59pm CST: Data collection tool closes for LEA (Local Educational Agency) submission.

04/2023: TEA verifies data collection for quality, and officially uploads into USDE system.
