Educator Preparation Program Support

Updates related to Educator Preparation Program Management

Reminder: The Reading Academies Authorized Provider application to open soon
Over the past semester several Texas EPPs have participated in a Texas Reading Academies working group to help develop Texas Reading Academies (TRAs) for EPPs. TEA used the data and feedback from the working group to support the scale of the Reading Academies across the state by establishing an opportunity for EPPs to become Authorized Providers. As an Authorized Provider, an EPP would fully facilitate Reading Academies for their participants.

This opportunity is open to Texas Educator Preparation Programs interested in becoming Authorized Providers, and the application is now available.

The EPP Application window is from January 10 to February 23, 2024, and must be submitted through Qualtrics by 5:00 PM central standard time on February 23, 2024.

Please use the links below to access the application:

Additional information about Texas Reading Academies can be found on the Reading Academies website. For questions regarding Reading Academies or the opportunity to become an Authorized Provider you may submit questions or request additional information using the Zendesk at TEALearn Help Center.

Reminder: Insight to Impact Professional Roles Navigation Instructions
The Insight to Impact Academy has been updated with navigation instructions for the latest extension of the Insight to Impact Dashboards: the Professional Roles Dashboards. These dashboards provide information about professional certification candidates, including counselors, librarians, reading specialists, principals, and educational diagnosticians. In addition, new TEAL access instructions are available for the Professional Roles Dashboards. If you have any questions or issues, please submit a ticket to the Insight to Impact Help Desk.

FAQs

We take this space to highlight questions that we have heard from EPPs.

Q: Can a noncertified educator create a TEAL account?

A: Yes, an educator that is not certified who does not have a TEAL account can create one.

Q: When an international educator is creating a TEAL profile, do they leave the driver's license question blank?

A: The ECOS profile will not allow the user to continue unless all required fields are filled in. Educators may enter “00000000” as a driver license number to complete the profile and can return to edit or update their profile at any time.

EPP Points of Contact
