To the Administrator Addressed (TAA): Delay in 2023 A-F Academic Accountability Ratings
Tuesday, September 12, 2023, the agency released a To The Administrator Addressed Correspondence to inform local educational agencies (LEAs) about a delay in the issuance of the final rule for the accountability manual and a delay in the issuance of 2023 A–F Accountability Ratings. The agency will conduct analyses of 2022-2023 statewide growth data and the growth data for the 2018–19 and 2021–22 school years used to inform cut scores in Domain 2a-Academic Growth, and Domain 3-Closing the Gaps.
The TAA also included a summary of the only other changes being made for the final rule: incorporating changes to AEA STAAR methodology, the Student Achievement: STAAR Only component of Domain 3, the English Language Proficiency component of Domain 3, and school improvement identification.
Now Available: The Consolidated Accountability File (CAF) The CAF used in accountability is shared with districts from Cambium in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE). Cambium released the CAF file on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Now Available: CCMR Final 2021 Outcomes Bonus District Report (TEAL)
The CCMR Final 2021 Outcomes Bonus District Report was released today, September 15, 2023, within TEAL Accountability application. This report includes the 2021 graduates.

District and Campus Coordinator Resources
The District and Campus Coordinator Resources has been updated to include the Online Administrations section and the Paper Administrations section.
Secure Browser Updates
District personnel must update desktop secure browsers to version 16 and the iPad OS secure browser to version 9 for the new school year no later than October 1, 2023. The updated desktop secure browser version 16 for supported versions of macOS, Windows, and Linux and the updated iPad OS secure browser version 9 for the supported version of iPad OS are available on the Texas Assessment website. Minimum System Requirements for the 2023–2024 school year are available in the Technology Resources section of the District and Campus Coordinator Resources.
Texas Formative Assessment Resource
New Test Templates
The Texas Formative Assessment Resource (TFAR) user interface has added new test templates under Test Properties. Assigning a template before publishing aligns the test to the corresponding test attribute column in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE). This new feature enables the designated accommodations for students. The TFAR website has also been updated with new user interface resources.
Assessment Viewing Application
The Open Education Resources—Assessment Viewing Application (AVA) has been added to the page on the Texas Assessment website. This new application provides users with a student view of the Eureka Math Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and K–5 Amplify Texas assessments.
LMS Updates
The Data Entry Interface (DEI) Overview and TFAR Overview training modules have been posted to the Learning Management System (LMS). The DEI Overview training module reviews the instructions on how to enter student responses in DEI for all programs. The TFAR Overview training module reviews formative assessments, TFAR functionalities, and TFAR best practices.
