Happy September!

This grant work is in full swing, and the Strong Foundations Planning Team is beyond excited to see some of the first deliverables beginning to roll in. We want to thank each of you for all the support you are providing to districts across Texas. Please see below for any updates, milestones and resources in this email.  

As always, don’t hesitate to reach out at StrongFoundations@tea.texas.gov with any specific questions.

Milestones

To request an extension for the Roadmap please select the checkbox on the Deliverables Survey. Extension requests only need to be submitted for the following 3 deliverables:  

  • Roadmap  
  • Instructional Framework  
  • Implementation Plan  

You will still receive email reminders about milestone due dates.   

  • Past Due (May 31st): Executed Contract. Please ensure you have completed the deliverables survey for all executed contracts your organization has with LEAs this cycle. Deliverables Survey  
  • Past Due (August 25th): PLP Survey, Roadmap, Committee Memo, Communication Plan.   
  • Upcoming (November 3rd): RBIS Collective Learning Series Attendance Memo, Pulse Survey #2 for APs and LEAs  

Upcoming Events

Please encourage your SFP/SFI LEAs to request an HQIM Learning Lab visit! HQIM Learning Labs are being hosted from September through November, and dates are coming up quickly! HQIM Learning Labs allow LEAs to see students engaged with rigorous, grade level content in real time and learn what planning happens in the background to implement HQIM effectively.  

To request a visit (you can do this on behalf of the LEA, or the LEA can do this directly):   

  • Visit our Innovator Website and scroll down to find the interactive calendar.  
  • Fill out the form linked in the calendar based on your desired HQIM Learning Lab date.  
  • You'll be connected to the district via email to arrange the visit.     

As a part of Strong Foundations Implementation for SY  24-25, districts will be awarded direct grant funding and will be able to choose a provider for their implementation support.

Education Service Centers and Approved Providers interested in supporting districts with implementation of high-quality instructional materials through this grant will need to be certified in the redelivery of Product Academies and Implementation Supports.

 Reminders and Next Steps

Registration for the Product Advisor Certification Pathway to support districts in the Strong Foundations Implementation Grant closes on September 15. 

Please complete this survey to register. Once you have completed the survey, you will receive instructions for signing up for the TEA Learn Course.
