We bring you this off-cycle System Support Newsletter to share some opportunities to learn more about School Actions and the School Action Fund grant, part of the Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO) initiative launching this November.
As you know, our mission in the Division of System Support is to help districts provide high-quality, best-fit schools to all students. School Actions– ESF-aligned, whole school approaches to school improvement– are evidence-based ways to deliver the schools families want, need, and deserve in their communities.

Are you wondering what school action might best meet your district’s needs and provide what your community wants? If so, this is the training series to attend! Over three weeks, this 3-part series will incorporate breakout time with a Center for School Action (CSA) coach and work time in each session to allow you to get a head start on your SAF application.
Session 1: What is my district data telling me my district and campus needs are?
Option 1: October 26 | 9:00 - 10:30 AM
Option 2: October 27 | 1:00 - 2:30 PM
Session 2: How can I engage my community to find out what they want?
Option 1: November 2 | 10:00 - 11:30 AM
Option 2: November 3 | 1:00 - 2:30 PM
Session 3: Should I apply for SAF, and if so, how do I select a best-fit action?

School Action Specific Webinars
To learn more about a specific School Actions, please register to attend an action-specific webinar. Each 60 minute webinar will include a panel of SAF District Champions with a Q&A at the end for participants to ask questions. Webinars will cover the following school actions:

- Redesign (Blended Learning, Rural P-20, Rural Collaborative)
