Updates & Opportunities |
First, we’d like to share some data:
- The number of A/B campuses in the SGS Network increased by >60% and cut the number of D/F campuses in the Network in half since 2019!
- SAF grantees more than doubled the number of A/B campuses since 2019, and also cut their D/Frated campuses in half.
We’re so proud of the SGS Network and School Action Fund districts and the hard work of their teachers, students, and campus leaders during these trying times. Thank you for acting boldly on behalf of your students!

Next, please join us in welcoming our new Associate Commissioner of Systems Innovation, Andrew Hodge! Andrew will oversee the new Division of System Innovation, which will include SGS/SAF, Strategic Compensation, Tutoring Supports, and Expanded Learning Models.
Lasara Elementary, a K-8 campus, had strong academic growth that helped the campus receive a B-rating for the 2021-22 school year. The campus developed a strong relationship with its ESC Region 1, and the district provided leadership resources to support instruction at the lower grade levels. The campus is implementing a blended learning station rotation instructional model that is helping to meet the needs of all students. These efforts, along with the adoption of high-quality instructional materials in both ELAR and Math, resulted in the campus improving its overall accountability score by 24 points.
