2022 Statewide Parental Involvement Conference - Call for Session Proposals

The 2022 Statewide Parental Involvement Conference will be held in-person on December 8-10, 2022, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas–Frisco Hotel & Convention Center in Frisco, Texas.  In preparation for the conference, the Title I, Part A Parent and Family Engagement Statewide Initiative is looking for conference session presenters.

The Statewide Parental Involvement Conference provides valuable instruction to educators to continually improve their parent, family, and community engagement programs, as well as information for parents and families to build their capacity to support their student’s efforts to meet the state’s academic achievement standards. Statewide practitioners, including TEA staff, will offer sessions on innovative approaches for supporting PFE programs and activities, and will provide valuable information to build the capacity of schools, families, and communities to ensure the success of students.

Questions to Ask Yourself

  • What do I want attendees to gain from my session?
  • Will my presentation be relevant and beneficial for my target audience?
  • Did I build opportunities into my presentation for audience engagement?
  • Are the ideas and practices in my presentation practical for attendees to replicate?
  • Is my content too broad for a 60-minute session and have I planned an adequate amount of content for my session?
