Texas Online Course Reviewers Needed

Do you want to make a difference in the quality of courses offered through the Texas Virtual School Network (TXVSN)? Do you want to earn a stipend and build your resume in the process? Quality Matters, Inc. (QM) conducts course reviews for the TXVSN and is looking for certified, Texas educators to join the review team. Apply to become a QM certified course reviewer today.


Math TEKS Review & Revision

The State Board of Education has scheduled the mathematics TEKS review and revision to begin in the 2022–2023 school year. As scheduled, these revised standards would be adopted in the 2023–2024 school year and implemented in the 2026–2027 school year. For updates, sign up for the mathematics bulletin. 19th Annual Summer Institute for K-12 Educators

The Summer Institute (SI) is an award-winning, annual, Professional Development conference where Texas teachers are introduced to innovative, classroom-ready, research-inspired educational modules. The SI workshops feature integrated educational modules and hands-on activities (supply list provided) developed by some of the nation’s leading research and educational institutions (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard, Texas A&M, University of Texas Austin, Tufts). Participants will receive (free of charge): training from content experts, practicing scientists and researchers, and master teachers as well as continuing professional education (CPE) credits for each workshop.


The SI has workshops for all grade levels (Pre-Kindergarten to grade 12) that focus on integrated learning, and feature classroom-ready content for: Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM); Health; Language Arts; Social studies; Gifted & Talented.
