Universal Errata
Schoolwide Consolidation of Funds on SC5000, ESSER II, and ESSER III
Due to conflicting interpretations of differing guidance documents, the following errata is issued as it relates to the description of consolidating federal, state, and/or local funds on a Title I Schoolwide campus on the SC5000 of the 2021–2022 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application, and the inclusion of schoolwide personnel reflected in the ESSER II and ESSER III federal grant applications.
The following application questions from the ESSER grant applications for funding will not be interpreted to indicate those federal grants funds are being consolidated on the Title I, Part A Schoolwide campus:
- ESSER II – BS6101, Part 3, Question 1
“For schoolwide personnel (includes staff salary, extra-duty pay/beyond normal hours, and substitutes for staff positions at schoolwide campuses)”
- ESSER III – BS6101, Part 3, Question 1
“For schoolwide personnel (includes staff salary, extra-duty pay/beyond normal hours, and substitutes for staff positions at schoolwide campuses)”
An LEA is not required to amend SC5000 or either BS6101 schedule if there is a potential misalignment between the either of the two applications as they relate to the types of funds consolidated on a schoolwide campus.
The following agency guidance documents are being revised to more effectively describe both physical and conceptual consolidations of federal, state, and/or local funds on a Schoolwide campus:
- 2022-2023 SC5000 Guidance Handbook
- 2022-2023 SC5000 Schedule Instructions
- Title I, Part A Program Guide
LEAs must review the updated guidance and reflect the proper type of consolidation in the SC5000 of the 2022–2023 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application.
