2022-2023 Prekindergarten Registration
Prekindergarten Registration Window for SY 22-23 Opens April 1st!
The 2022-23 Prekindergarten Registration Information page is now live on the TEA website. This page is targeted at parents/families and contains general prekindergarten eligibility and enrollment information, along with the enrollment schedules and links for any districts or open-enrollment charters interested in sharing. If you want to include your district or open-enrollment charter's enrollment information, please submit that information into this form.

Which providers are eligible to participate in a PK Partnership?
This new Private Provider Eligibility Guidance Document provides information on the eligibility requirements a child care provider must meet to partner with a school district to offer prekindergarten services.
Prekindergarten Tuition Programs
LEAs may implement a tuition-supported prekindergarten program to provide half-day and/or full day classes to children who are ineligible for free prekindergarten classes. Tuition may not be higher than is necessary to cover the added costs of providing the tuition supported prekindergarten classes, including any costs associated with data collection and reporting requirements. TEC §29.1531
- SY 2022-23 allowable rates will be published late Summer 2022
- Notify potential tuition-supported prekindergarten families of the tuition rate after the rate is approved by TEA
- Send proposed tuition rate request letter to earlychildhoodeducation@tea.texas.gov
