Review and Adoption Update

Now Accepting Public Comment on Proclamation 2024 (Science, Technology Applications, and Certain Career and Technical Education Courses) 

The State Board of Education (SBOE) is scheduled to issue Proclamation 2024 at the April 2022 meeting to call for instructional materials for K–12 science, K–8 technology applications, and certain career and technical education courses. A draft of the proclamation has been posted to the TEA website. Please review the draft and submit comments or concerns using the Proclamation 2024 Public Comment Form no later than Friday, March 25, 2022. TEA will share all comments with the SBOE. 

TEA will also host focus groups in February and March 2022 to collect feedback on the draft. If you are interested in participating in a focus group, please submit a Proclamation 2024 Focus Group Interest Form.

High-Quality Instructional Materials Adoption Supports Lead (Education Specialist IV)

The team is seeking a High-Quality Instructional Materials Adoption Supports Lead to develop and manage strategy for ensuring Local Education Agencies (LEAs) have access to the supports they need to adopt high-quality materials. This role will work directly with both LEAs and Education Service Centers (ESCs) to provide the necessary tools and services to promote the adoption of high-quality instructional materials across the state.

Education Service Centers High Quality Instructional Materials Project Manager (Education Specialist IV) 

TEA is seeking a Project Manager of ESC High Quality Instructional Materials Strategy to assist ESCs in their regional efforts to train and support districts that are piloting Texas Home Learning 3.0 instructional materials to ensure effective teaching and learning with the products. The role entails coordination across multiple projects and stakeholders, including agency staff and vendors. The ESC High Quality Instructional Materials Strategy Project Manager will oversee the project planning, grants, progress monitoring, and fiscal management across the 20 ESCs.
