Training Registration Information

Staff from TEA’s Federal Program Compliance Division will be providing in-person training on a variety of topics at several regional Education Service Centers around the state on the following dates.  There are no registration fees for the training opportunities:

Training Schedule

Session Time:  9:00 am – 10:25 am

Session Title:  Title II, Part A Training presented by Vivian Smyrl

Session Description:  This session will cover the requirements associated with implementing a Title II, Part A program and provide examples of the types of documentation LEAs should have in order to demonstrate compliance.

Session Time:  10:35 am – 12:00 pm

Session Title:  Title IV, Part A Training presented by LaNetra Guess

Session Description:  Participants will gain a better understanding of the Title IV, Part A requirements, TEA reporting documents, use of funds, and resources to support school staff and students. This will be an interactive session.

Session Time:  1:30 pm – 2:55 pm

Session Title:  Supplement, Not Supplant Training presented by Vivian Smyrl

Session Description:  This session will provide a basic overview of Supplement, Not Supplant, including the traditional SNS documentation requirements and the Title I, Part A Methodology requirement, as well as the opportunity to work through several scenarios for practice. 

Session Time:  3:05 pm – 4:30 pm

Session Title:  Private School Equitable Services Training presented by LaNetra Guess

Session Description:  Participants will gain a better understanding of the LEA private school equitable services requirements, TEA reporting documents, and available TEA resources. This interactive session will also include PNP frequently asked questions and sample scenarios.

The same trainings will be offered on each of the dates listed above.  Registration information for each session is available through the links provided above.

Should the pandemic environment change, the in-person meeting may be changed to a virtual meeting. If applicable, please plan your travel accordingly.
