Save the Date!

Staff from TEA’s Federal Program Compliance Division Title I, Part C - Migrant Education Program (MEP) will be providing in-person training on a variety of topics at several regional Education Service Centers around the state on the following dates:

  • January 24, 2022, at Education Service Center - Region 2 (Corpus Christi)
  • February 8, 2022, at Education Service Center - Region 17 (Lubbock)
  • February 24, 2022, at Education Service Center - Region 13 (Austin)

Training Schedule

9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Session Title:  Providing an Effective Migrant Education Program That Produces Desired Outcomes, presented by Idalia Ibañez and Nez Paniagua
Session Description:  The training will focus the essential elements and best practices that lead to effective implementation of the Migrant Education Program (MEP) that will result in desired outcomes. Presenters will provide an overview of MEP requirements, MPE compliance, available resources, and best practices.  Participants will have an opportunity to network with each other and share their best practices for successful MEP implementation.

The same training will be offered on each of the dates listed above.  Registration information for each session will be communicated as soon as it becomes available.

Should the pandemic environment change, the in-person meeting may be changed to a virtual meeting. If applicable, please plan your travel accordingly.
