To the Superintendent Addressed:

The 2021 Consecutive School Years of Unacceptable Ratings Appeal System and the 2021 Optional Alternative Evaluation Request System in TEAL Accountability have been temporarily closed until the rule adoption process is completed on November 14, 2021.

Districts will be notified when the system reopens along with final due dates and timelines. Districts who have already submitted alternative evaluation requests for their eligible campuses will not need to resubmit requests when the system reopens. Updated FAQs will be posted to the Performance Reporting Resources page this afternoon.

TEA updates and publishes Acceptable ratings for campuses that met the SB 1365 eligibility criteria as well as the evaluation criteria adopted in TAC, §97.1006 and opted into the alternative evaluation
