Commissioner of Education Rules

 

The following rule actions were filed with the Texas Register for publication in the November 27, 2020 issue:

 

Adopted Amendments to 19 TAC Chapter 61, School Districts, Subchapter CC, Commissioner's Rules Concerning School Facilities, §61.1038, School District Bond Enhancement Program, and §61.1039, Open-Enrollment Charter School Bond Enhancement Program

Summary: The adopted amendments update cross references to state and federal statute and align language for open-enrollment charter schools to the rule on the Bond Guarantee Program for charter schools. The amendments were adopted without changes since published as proposed.

Effective Date: December 6, 2020

 

Adopted Amendment to 19 TAC Chapter 129, Student Attendance, Subchapter AA, Commissioner's Rules, §129.1027, Optional Flexible School Day Program

Summary: The adopted amendment reflects statutory recodification resulting from House Bill 3, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019, and aligns board meeting requirements with current practice. The amendment was adopted without changes since published as proposed.

Effective Date: December 6, 2020
