2018-2020 Immediate Aid
to Restart School Operations (Restart) Grant Application
The 2018-2020 Immediate Aid to Restart School Operations (Restart) Grant Application is now available on the TEA
Grant Opportunities page. Allocations for eligible applicants are available and
can be viewed on the Entitlements, Grants
Administration Division page. Eligible applicants must apply by 5:00
p.m. Central Time, July 27, 2018.
Application
Submission Via Email
This application may be submitted via email to grantapplications@tea.texas.gov or in hard
copy by mail or hand delivery. Please see the instructions on the first page of
the application.
Eligible Applicants
Local educational
agencies (LEAs) and private nonprofit schools (PNPs) with expenses related to
the restart of operations in, the reopening of, and the re-enrollment of
students in elementary and secondary schools that serve an area in which the
Federal government declared a major disaster related to Hurricane Harvey are
eligible to apply.

web page by selecting ‘2018-2020 Immediate Aid to Restart School Operations (Restart)’
from the drop-down menu. The application and program guidelines are available
in the Application and Support Information section.
Eligible PNPs
Eligible PNPs
will apply to TEA directly for services under the Restart grant. Equitable
services to PNPs will be provided through a grant to the regional educational
service center that serves the geographic location of the private school.
PNPs can access the Restart Request for Equitable Services form on the TEA
Grant Opportunities web
page by selecting ‘2018-2020 Immediate Aid to Restart
School Operations (Restart)’
from the drop-down menu. The form, which can be completed and submitted online,
is in the Application and Support Information section.
