The January 26, 2018, deadline for requesting indirect cost rates for 2018–2019
(Independent School Districts only) has closed.
The submission of the ICRP Additional Costs Workbook serves as an
ISD’s request for an indirect cost rate. Rates will be calculated only for ISDs
that submitted a completed workbook. If an ISD did not submit a completed
workbook, TEA will not calculate or issue a rate for that ISD for the 2018–2019
school year.
As described
in the December 8, 2017 letter posted to the TEA Correspondence page, effective with school year 2018–2019, all
previous indirect cost rate extensions are rescinded and ISDs must request an
indirect cost rate each year by completing and submitting the Indirect Cost
Rate Proposal (ICRP) Additional Costs Workbook. The deadline for submitting
the workbook, and thus requesting an indirect cost rate, was January 26,
2018. TEA extended the submission deadline for numerous ISDs, and the
extended deadline has passed unless an ISD has an arrangement in place with TEA
for submitting the workbook at a later time.
If your ISD
missed this deadline and would still like to request an indirect cost rate,
please email compliance@tea.texas.gov to make arrangements to submit an ICRP
Additional Costs Workbook no later than
March 16, 2018. An ISD requesting
this final extended deadline will have their ICRP Additional Costs Workbook
processed separately from the ISDs currently being reviewed and processed. This
may result in the ISD receiving its rate sometime after the effective date of
July 1st; however, the effective date of the new rate can still be retroactive
to July 1, 2018.
Any ISD that
has not submitted by the final extended deadline of March 16, 2018, cannot be
guaranteed an indirect cost rate for 2018–2019.
To confirm that
your ISD’s ICRP Additional Costs Workbook was received by TEA:
-
Log
on to the TEA Login (TEAL).
- Select
GFFC Reports and Data Collections.
-
From
the “Report Title” pulldown menu, select ICRP Additional Costs Workbook.
-
There is no need to select a school year –
if one is selected, it must be 2018–2019.
-
Click
Search.
The search
results include any ICRP documents which were recently submitted by the ISD and
received by TEA. If there is a document in the system, then TEA received the
document.
