Hurricane Harvey and Federal Grant Funds

To supplement the information that TEA is providing schools and families regarding Hurricane Harvey and its impact, the Department of Grants Compliance and Oversight (GCO) has posted a webpage dedicated to the hurricane’s effect on federal grant funding.

Currently, GCO’s Hurricane Harvey and Federal Grant Funding page includes the following resources:

• Guidance and FAQ for LEAs impacted by the disaster (either LEAs located in counties identified in the governor’s disaster declaration or LEAs receiving evacuee students)
• Clarification of the procurement process those LEAs may use, along with forms
• Current information on TEA’s application to USDE for waiver/extension of federal grant requirements
