As a follow-up to the January CAPPS announcement, we are sharing additional details about the agency’s transition to the new accounting and payroll/personnel system this summer. The launch of CAPPS will transform how TDCJ employees work and access essential information.
What is changing with this transition?
Starting this summer, agency employees will be responsible for using CAPPS to:
-
Enter their own time; this includes correctional officers. This change empowers everyone to view, submit, track and update their own time.
-
Access and print current paystubs for employment verification, proof of income and any additional needs.
-
Update their personal information to ensure information such as their address, phone number and emergency contacts remains accurate.
