Dear Residents,
Please note: the link included in our previous message was not accessible for residents who receive GovDelivery notifications via text message. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We would like to share a few important updates related to the ongoing winter weather conditions.
Road Conditions and Safety Reminder Thank you to everyone who has limited travel during this winter weather emergency. While there has been significant ice melt on well-traveled roadways, overnight refreezing is expected, which can create dangerous conditions. Please remain cautious of lingering icy patches, particularly on heavily shaded roads, underpasses, tunnels, and at the bottom of hills, where drivers may be caught off guard.
City Facility Closure All City facilities will be closed on Monday, January 26. Essential staff, including the Police Department, will remain onsite and available to assist the community with winter weather–related needs.
As a reminder, the City is transitioning from a .org to a .gov domain on Monday, January 26, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. During this time, the City website and email systems will be temporarily unavailable. City phone service is not expected to be impacted.
If you need to contact City staff during the closure, please call 512-892-1383. For non-emergency assistance from the Police Department, you may also call 512-974-0845.
Trash Service Update Due to icy road conditions, Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) has adjusted its schedule. Trash service will take place on Thursday this week instead of Wednesday. We appreciate your patience and understanding as crews work to operate safely.
We appreciate your continued cooperation and encourage everyone to prioritize safety until conditions improve.
