SUBJECT: TEAM Update 9.29.2026

Dear County Election and Voter Registration Officials,

Our office has received reports of voters updating their address information through Texas Online, but the notification of the update was sent to their current county of registration rather than their new county of registration. Based on county reports, this is a recent development occurring intermittently within the last two to three weeks. In investigating these reports, we determined that this would occur when the voter selected the wrong county during the authentication process.

We have addressed this issue by placing an additional authentication measure in place to prevent the voter from proceeding to the next screen when the voter enters a county that does not align with their existing voter registration.
