SUBJECT: Data from DPS Online Transactions

Dear County Election and Voter Registration Officials,
As you know, DPS recently identified that certain voter registration records from online DPS transactions were incomplete, which resulted in these files not being transmitted to the counties for review. We have worked closely with DPS to resolve this issue and identify the affected records, which will now be transmitted to the counties.

Online Counties: We have been able to identify any voters that have more recent voter registration updates than the affected DPS record. For those voters, we will not be providing the older voter registration record so that it does not impact their more recent voter registration update. We will begin processing these files at 5:00 pm tonight. Records will begin to hit county dashboards early this evening and the files processing will be complete by tomorrow morning.

Offline Counties: For offline counties that utilize third-party voter registration vendors, we are not able to perform the same analysis that we did for online counties. Offline counties will be receiving all the records provided to us from DPS. Please be advised that some of these voters may have already submitted a more recent update to your county. We encourage offline counties to review the records provided to ensure that an earlier DPS transaction does not impact a more recent update. These files will be posted to the county CDW in batches. We will be working with offline county vendors to ensure that files are provided in appropriately sized batches for their vendor to process.
