becoming an outdoors-woman workshop update

Hi Everyone

As I prepare for my retirement this May, I just wanted to reach out to all of you to share (3) things:

1. THANK YOU for all your support, passion and love of all things outdoors!

Whether you are a Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) volunteer, instructor, participant, “repeat-offender,” first-timer, or have reached out to learn more about the program and hope to attend your very first one…this email serves to share a HEARTFELT THANK YOU for all your passion and support to Become an Outdoors-Woman!

BOW was brought to Texas in 1993, and we’ve grown the program and made it the best in the nation!  I was hired in 1998 as the Southeast Texas Hunter Education Specialist and starting in 2010, I've had the privilege to also coordinate BOW.  I’ve coordinated 31 statewide BOW workshops, including the first EVER virtual BOW in 2020!  Our workshops are filling to capacity in record time – 20 minutes!

2.  Friends of Texas BOW

“Like” them on Facebook – they are super active, involved, and have a lot of Outdoors-Woman opportunities going on all the time!  Formed in 2013, they are committed to getting more Ladies involved and connected to your passions across our great outdoors - and have been a tremendous support to BOW over the years:
