State Park or Sunrise-to-Noon Tournaments. Ideal for teams seeking a more laid-back day without too much traveling and mixed age teams. 3-5 team members needed to form a team.
Regional Big Day Tournament. Perfect for those who want to test their skills against others in a specific part of the state, while birding for most or all of a 24-hour period. Teams can be done either as an "Intact Flock" or as a "Dispersed Flock" (see rules for more details). Categories are separated by age groups: Roughwings (13&younger - 8 hours total), Gliders (age 14-18), or Adults (19&up). 3-5 team members.
Statewide Big Day Tournament. Take on birders throughout Texas for the Statewide Big Day Tournament (one day) which is a "Dispersed Flock" category (see rules for more details). Categories are separated by age groups: Roughwings (13&younger - 8 hours total), Gliders (age 14-18), or Adults (19&up). 3-5 team members
Human-Powered Tournament. Go birding by canoe, on a bike, walking, or with any other non-motorized transportation and see how many birds you can count in a day! This is an "Intact Flock" tournament so team members can be located anywhere in the state. 3-5 team members.
Texas Two-Stop and Statewide Weeklong Tournaments. If you are 19 years old or older and want to strategize birding two sites over two consecutive days or birding the whole state over the course of 6 consecutive days, these events are for you (see rules for more details). 3-5 team members.
