A MESSAGE FROM OUR NONPROFIT PARTNER,
TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE FOUNDATION (TPWF)

Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation

Texas is a state like no other, where wild is always in season. And for over 30 years, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) has brought people together to conserve and enjoy all that is wild and wonderful in Texas.

Since 1991, TPWF has raised and invested over $235 million to conserve our state’s wildlife, habitat and natural resources. With the help of our partners and fellow Texans, TPWF is transforming Texas by:

Stewarding our wild places – Over 200,000 acres of vital wildlife habitat have been permanently protected so far, including the recent acquisition of the 515-acre Honey Creek Ranch, now part of Honey Creek State Natural Area. This project permanently protects the headwaters of Honey Creek, a pristine Hill Country stream, as well as valuable oak savannah grassland habitat for crucial native pollinators, and the watershed that provides drinking water for 2 million San Antonio area residents.

Conserving our wild things – Conservation is TPWF’s heartbeat. We invest in projects that literally breathe new life into Texas, from the installation of the second largest artificial reef in the Texas Gulf to the restoration of pronghorn populations in West Texas, revitalizing habitat for Texas reptiles like the Texas horned lizard and the Texas tortoise, and stocking Guadalupe bass in Hill Country streams.

Connecting more Texans with nature – With over 95% of Texas land privately owned, TPWF believes providing wide open public spaces is all the more important for the health and well-being of all Texans. Through the creation of Palo Pinto Mountains State Park, the newest state park in North Texas in 25 years, nearly 5,000 more acres of Lone Star landscape will soon be available for all Texans to enjoy.

These and many other meaningful projects are made possible through the generous support of our collective community. Support TPWF today and you, too, can help ensure current and future generations of Texans can enjoy, explore and be inspired by the wild things and wild places of Texas.
