Get a jump-start on Halloween this year by visiting a state park near you! Many parks are offering holiday-themed festivities all month long for you and your friends and family to enjoy. From trick-or-treating and edible creepy crawlies to costume contests and "zombie" hikes, we've planned great Halloween-themed events for everyone.

Trail of Terror at Lockhart (Oct. 22, 23) – Hike a haunted trail in the dark – if you dare! Registration required; recommended for ages 12+.

Halloween Treats from a Dutch Oven at Colorado Bend (Oct. 30) – Learn how to cook a Pumpkin Spice Cake in a Dutch oven. Free samples!

Halloween Fest at McKinney Falls (Oct. 30) – Join us for a fun evening of candy, costumes, and creativity!
