You can renew registration and obtain replacement cards/decals/titles for boats and outboard motors online.
- Boat registration offices are not open for walk-in business.
- We have had temporary closures of some boat registration offices, including the License and Boat Registration counter at the Austin headquarters, due to COVID-19-related issues.
- Customers who need boat titling assistance can mail their transaction requests to a TPWD Law Enforcement Office (LE office). These offices are accepting customers by appointment only. Check your nearby LE office to see if they are open and to request an appointment. Social distancing and face coverings are mandatory for customers and employees.
- Boat owners can also contact a County Tax Office that handles boat registration to see if they are open and able to process your transaction.
- There may be delays in processing your boat registration and title applications due to the temporary closures.
