Catfish stocking season is here! Starting April 22, catfish big enough to catch and keep will be stocked in our 18 Neighborhood Fishin’ ponds and lakes. So if you’re looking for a way to take the kids in your life fishing — without traveling miles to get there — find a Neighborhood Fishin' lake close to you!
- Neighborhood Fishin’ lakes are safe, fun places to introduce children to fishing.
- Lakes are stocked every two weeks, so lots of fish are available to take your bait.

 The Toyota Texas Fest & Bass Classic Event on May 20-22 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco and at Ray Roberts Lake State Park is a fun family event featuring celebrity entertainers (Lee Brice, Big & Rich and more), a Kid’s Zone, an Outdoor Expo and a world–class fishing event at nearby Ray Roberts Lake State Park.  Free Fishing Event in Hurst
What: Chisholm Park Family Fishing Classic
When: May 7, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Description:
- Free fishing event at Chisholm Park Lake, a Neighborhood Fishing’ lake.
- Prizes will be awarded to
children who catch one of the 50 fish that have been “tagged” by biologists fromTexas Parks and Wildlife. A “tagged” fish will have a colored tag near its back fin.
- Exciting prizes include an exclusive half-day instructional bass fishing trip for two children and one adult on a private lake in DFW area; tickets to the Toyota Texas Fest; Bass Pro Shops rod and reel combos; four sideline tickets to FC Dallas game, and two FC Dallas jerseys.
Where: Chisholm Park in Hurst (DFW area). From Hwy 183 east of Fort Worth, go north on Norwood. After crossing Harwood, look for park on east side of road.
