Release Date: Oct. 2, 2025 Media Hot Line: 713-739-4040
METRO will adjust METRORail service on Saturday, Oct. 4, through Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, to perform scheduled maintenance and system upgrades. During this time, frequent shuttle buses will replace rail service along impacted sections of the Red, Green, and Purple lines.
Red Line
Shuttle buses will operate every 10 minutes between Fannin South Transit Center Station and Burnett Transit Center / Casa de Amigos Station. View shuttle map.
Customers may experience additional delays on the Red Line due to traffic signal adjustments being coordinated with Houston Public Works. These adjustments are part of a coordinated effort to improve overall mobility and on-time performance for all road users.
While the changes have improved conditions for buses, commuters, and pedestrians, they have created challenges for METRORail operations. METRO is actively working with the City to address these issues and remains committed to restoring reliable service. Riders are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time while updates continue.
Green / Purple Lines
Shuttle buses will operate every 10 minutes between Theater District Station and EaDo / Stadium Station. View shuttle map.

All riders are encouraged to allow for extra travel time during this service adjustment.
