 METRO has expanded service on the 270 Missouri City Park & Ride as part of its ongoing METRONow commitment to improve regional mobility.
Since Monday, July 28, select inbound and outbound trips have included new stops at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (VA Hospital) and various locations throughout the Texas Medical Center.
The additional stops are either directly adjacent to or within a short walking distance of key institutions, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, UTHealth Houston School of Public Health, Baylor Medicine at McNair Campus, and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 11, all inbound and outbound trips on the route will serve these stops.
“This route enhancement underscores METRO’s commitment to connecting communities with vital services,” said Board Chair Elizabeth Gonzalez Brock. “By improving access throughout the Texas Medical Center, we are supporting healthcare professionals, patients, and families who need reliable and convenient transportation options.”

The route expansion is among several changes METRO is implementing on Sunday, Aug. 10 to better match service with rider demand. Updates include adjustments to select local and Park & Ride bus routes, as well as curb2curb service.
