 As part of METRO's continued commitment to enhancing the rider experience and supporting regional mobility, the Authority will implement a series of service changes beginning Sunday, June 8, 2025. The adjustments are designed to better align service with current ridership trends, traffic patterns, and community needs across the region.
Among these improvements, METRO launched a direct bus route to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in April, offering a faster, more convenient connection for travelers and employees. This addition reflects METRO’s broader focus on improving access to major destinations and making public transit a more efficient option for all.
Local Bus
The following routes will undergo service changes. View full list of affected routes on METRO's website.

3 Langley - Little York: Increase service frequency to every 40 minutes and adjust the schedule to match ridership demand.

45 Tidwell: Increase weekend service frequency to every 20 minutes to match ridership demand.

86 FM 1960 / Imperial Valley: Add three weekday eastbound trips at 8:15 a.m., 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., and two weekday westbound trips at 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. to match ridership demand.

98 Briargate: Increase service frequency to every 45 minutes and adjust the schedule to match ridership demand.
Park & Ride
The following routes will undergo service changes on Monday, June 9. View complete list of Park & Ride updates.

219 Cypress / NW Station / W L York: Change the route to use the outbound Katy-CBD HOV ramp during afternoon peak hours to avoid TxDOT construction.

270 Missouri City: Add an outbound trip at 8:35 p.m. to match ridership demand.

500 IAH Downtown Direct: Effective April 15, 2025, METRO Implemented a new direct route between George R. Brown Convention Center and IAH (Terminal C).
