Airport travelers encouraged to ride METRO's direct route to George Bush Intercontinental Airport
 Heading to the Airport? Ride METRO's New Direct Route
Avoid the hassle of holiday traffic and expensive parking this weekend by taking the 500 IAH Downtown Direct for just $4.50 one way. The route operates every 30 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. between the George R. Brown Convention Center and George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

In observance of Memorial Day, METRO will operate the following schedule on Monday, May 26, 2025:
- Local bus, METRORail, and METRO curb2curb will operate on Sunday schedules.
- Park & Ride service will not be provided, except for the 500 IAH Downtown Direct, which will operate on a Sunday schedule.
- All METRO HOV/HOT Lanes will be closed.
- The Customer Service Call Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- RideStores and Lost & Found will be closed.
METROLift Reservations
- METROLift Reservations and Customer Service offices will be closed on Monday, May 26.
- All Monday subscription trips will be cancelled.
- Customers should call the reservation line at 713-225-6716 by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 23 to schedule trips for May 24 - May 27.
- Riders can also schedule a trip one day prior to the travel date by calling the automated phone reservation line (5 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at 713-739-4690 or by using the MACS-WEB online trip planner. Client ID and password are required.
Visit METRO's Twitter and Facebook pages for timely updates. METRO also offers real-time information through its mobile service alerts system. METRO encourages riders to plan their trips in advance by using the RideMETRO app.
