METRO is expanding curb2curb service, bringing flexible, on-demand transit to residents in the Kashmere and Sunnyside communities.
Starting Sunday, January 12, 2025, METRO will launch the 329 Sunnyside and 377 Kashmere / Maxey Road.
Unlike traditional fixed-route service, curb2curb operates within a defined zone and is designed to provide transportation options to communities without immediate access to METRO.
"Access to transit is one of the major challenges we are working to address," said Board Chair Elizabeth Gonzalez Brock. "The expanded service is part of our larger plan to advance equitable and reliable mobility options that connect people to jobs, school, and other essential services."
Key Service Features
-
Easy Booking: Riders can schedule pickups through the curb2curb app or by calling 713-739-RIDE (7433).
-
Flexible Travel: The vehicle drops off passengers at their destination or at a METRO facility in the zone where transfers are available.
-
Affordable and Accessible: Both services will operate seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. and cost only $1.25 each way. The vehicles are ADA accessible.
The 377 Kashmere / Maxey Road will replace the 377 Kashmere Late Night currently operating in the area.
