METRO Offering Free Rides to the Polls

Registered voters can enjoy a free round-trip ride to vote in the 2024 elections on local bus, METRORail, METRO curb2curb and METROLift.

To ride, simply show your voter ID or other approved documentation to the bus operator or fare inspector.

To assist voters in finding their way to a polling location, METRO has teamed up with Vote Houston to offer nonpartisan and educational information to registered voters. For more details, please visit VoteHouston.org.

Free rides will be available within METRO's service area during:

• Early Voting: Monday, Oct. 21 – Friday, Nov. 1
• Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5
