METRO to Resume Park & Ride Service on Monday with Modifications

METRO remains committed to fully restoring the transit system while continuing to provide essential services to the community.

Our bus operations team is providing vital transportation for the thousands of mutual assistance electric crews working to restore power to our region. Additionally, we've offered residents much-needed rides to area cooling centers.

On Monday, METRO will resume Park & Ride services with some modifications, including fewer trips on certain routes. Please carefully review the latest service adjustments below.

Monday, July 15

• Park & Ride: Many routes will provide normal service, including those traveling to the Texas Medical Center. Delays are possible. Adjustments to other routes include but may not be limited to:
  
  • 217 / 222 / 265: Slightly reduced service with a few trips canceled.
  • 202: No service, but the Kuykendahl lot will be served by the 204 Spring both inbound and outbound.
  • 228: No service, but the Addicks lot will be served by 221 Kingsland both inbound and outbound.
  • 257: No service, but the Townsen lot will be served by 256 Eastex / Kingwood both inbound and outbound.
  • Some downtown routes may be detoured due to road closures.

• Local Bus: All routes have resumed operations, but please allow extra travel time due to delays and detours. View route-specific service alerts here to get the latest updates for your trip.
• METRORail: Purple & Green Lines resumed regular service over the weekend. The Red Line will continue shuttle buses for as long as necessary. View the latest updates on rail service and bus shuttles here.
• HOV/HOT Lanes: All METRO-operated lanes are scheduled to be open during normal operating hours, but some ramps may be closed due to current conditions. These ramp closures include but may not be limited to:
  • I-69 (Southwest) to Dunlavy.
  • I-69 (Eastex) to Tidwell.
  • I-69 (Eastex) to Townsen.
• METROLift and curb2curb: Operating normal service.
• Customer Service and RideStores: Operating during their normal hours.
